PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing to be held by the Department of Planning and Permitting of the City and County of Honolulu under Special Management Area Ordinance, Chapter 25, Revised Ordinances of Honolulu, as amended, for the following application at the date and the time specified or soon thereafter:

PROPOSAL: Kaneohe/Kailua Wastewater Conveyance and Treatment Facilities Project – Including the construction of a 1,600-foot portion of a proposed three-mile long tunnel and new 10-foot (inside) diameter gravity wastewater line from the Kaneohe Wastewater Pre-Treatment Facility (WWPTF) to the Kailua Wastewater Treatment Plant; various improvements at the Kaneohe WWPTF to direct effluent to the new gravity tunnel/line.

Fasi Municipal Building, 650 South King Street, and are available to the public for inspection during office hours, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. All interested persons are invited to attend. Those persons desiring to testify may register prior to the public hearing at the public hearing site and are encouraged to submit one copy of their testimony in writing.

Attendance at the public hearing is not necessary to submit testimony. Written testimony which is received by the Department of Planning and Permitting at the above address prior to the public hearing will be considered in the evaluation of the request.
