1. A REQUEST FOR AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 21, REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (THE LAND USE ORDINANCE) RELATING TO HOTELS

The proposed LUO amendment would allow limited service hotels in the BMX-3 Community Mixed-Use Districts if certain standards are met. Limited service hotels would be permitted as a matter of right up to 180 units. If more than 180 units are proposed, a Conditional Use Permit (Major) is required. In addition, such hotels will be limited to the Primary Urban Center Development Plan, Ewa Development Plan, or the Central Oahu Sustainable Communities Plan areas established by Chapter 24, Revised Ordinances of Honolulu.
