ASSISTANT COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST Exempt, renewable, non-civil service position. Further information will be provided during interviews. Duties include but are not limited to the following: This position is responsible for assisting the Compliance Specialist in the development and implementation of file management and data entry processes and procedures to ensure the timely, accurate and organized inputting of data into the State Land Information Management System (SLIMS), the tracking of lease compliance issues, the printing of reports, and the creation and filing of land documents and other Land Division correspondence. This position is responsible for performing these duties in a timely manner and in accordance with applicable laws, rules, policies and procedures as may be established and amended from time to time. Required Education: High School graduate or equivalent. General Experience: Two (2) years required, (but four (4) preferred), of progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience in the area of information systems or computer operations. Experience must have involved the review and control of input and output data and provided applicant with knowledge of the methods and procedures of controlling input-output data and reports. Desirable Background: Experience in information technology, and real estate or property management. Substitution of Education for Experience: (1) A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of general experience; or (2) A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited college of university may be substituted for all the general experience; or (3) An associate in science degree in data processing from an accredited college may be substituted for two years of the general experience.
