TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2009-9 TO AMEND SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XX OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(7) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–24 HOURS; SCHEDULE XXI OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(8) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–SPECIFIED TIMES; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXIV OF SECTION 15-15.1(d) ESTABLISHING CURB LOADING ZONES; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS; SCHEDULE XXVI OF SECTION 15-16.1 ESTABLISHING TIME LIMIT PARKING; SCHEDULE XXX OF SECTION 15-22.1(a) ESTABLISHING PARKING METER ZONES; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:

“Auwaha St., for its entire length.”

“Hoopio St., for its entire length.”

“Kalae St., for its entire length.”

“Kamalo St., for its entire length.”

“Wiliwili St., for its entire length.”

b. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections by adding thereto the following item:

“Sunset Pl-Sunset Ave. Traffic on Sunset Pl. shall stop before entering Sunset Ave.”

c. By amending Schedule XX of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(7) establishing tow zones–24 hours in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following item:

“Helelua Pl., mauka side for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”

2. By amending thereto the following item:

Ward Ave., Koko Head side, between Ilaniwai St. to makai driveway Blaisdell Center; to read:

“Ward Ave., Koko Head side, between Queen St. and a point 500’ mauka from the mauka curb prolongation of Kapiolani Blvd.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Helelua Pl., within its turnaround area.”

d. By amending Schedule XXI of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(8) establishing tow zones–specified times in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Kapiolani Blvd., mauka side, distance 440’ Koko Head direction from a point 360’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Ward Ave., 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight daily.”

“Ward Ave., Koko Head side, from a point 500’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Kapiolani Blvd. to a point 120’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of S. King St., 6:30 to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays.”

2. By amending thereto the following item:

Kapiolani Blvd., mauka side, between Pensacola St. to a point 360’ Koko Head direction of Ward Ave. during hours 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. except Sundays; to read:

“Kapiolani Blvd., mauka side, between Pensacola St. and a point 800″ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Ward Ave., 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. except Sundays.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Ward Ave., Koko Head side, between makai driveway of Blaisdell Center and to a point 120’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of King St. during hours 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays.”

e. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Hoolai St., makai side, distance 97’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Piikoi St.”

“Kuaie St., within its mauka (northern) and makai (southern) turnaround areas.”

“Maluawai St., within its turnaround area.”

“St. Louis Dr., even-numbered side, from Bertram St. (mauka intersection) to a point approximately 280’ Koko Head of the makai/Koko Head curb prolongation of Bertram St. (middle intersection at 1858 St. Louis Dr.)”

“2nd St., mauka (northern) side, distance 60’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Lehua Ave.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“Ihe St., mauka side, Liliha section.”

“St. Louis Dr., makai and Ewa sides, from Bertram St. to Maigret St., with the exception from 58’ Ewa of the makai boundary of 1844 St. Louis Dr. to the makai boundary of 1808 St. Louis Dr.”

f. By amending Schedule XXIV of Sec. 15-15.1(d) establishing curb loading zones by amending thereto subsection (a) passenger loading zones the following item:

Nahua St., Koko Head side, distance 29’ mauka direction from point 147’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Kuhio Ave.; to read:

“Nahua St., Koko Head side, distance 43’ mauka direction from a point 133’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Kuhio Ave.”

g. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Leoku St., Ewa side, distance 150’ makai direction from a point 63’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Waipahu St.”

h. By amending Schedule XXVI of Sec. 15-16.1 establishing time limit parking in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Pauahi St., (2 hrs.) makai side, between River and Bethel Sts., 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday except Sundays and State holidays.”

“Pauahi St., (1 hr.) mauka side, between Nuuanu Ave. and River St., 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday except Sundays and State holidays.”

“Ward Ave., (2 hrs.) Koko Head side, between Kapiolani Blvd. and S. King St., 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday; 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturdays except Sundays and State holidays.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Leoku St., (2 hrs.) both sides, between Farrington Hwy. and Leolua St.”

i. By amending Schedule XXX of Sec. 15-22.1(a) establishing parking meter zones by adding thereto the following items:

“Pauahi St., mauka side, between Nuuanu Ave. and River St.”

“Pauahi St., makai side, between River and Bethel Sts.”

“Ward Ave., Koko Head side, between Kapiolani Blvd. and S. King St.”

j. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic controls by adding thereto the following items:

“Alexander St., mauka bound traffic in the Ewa most lane must turn left at Wilder Ave.”

“Alexander St., mauka bound traffic in the Koko Head most lane must turn right at Wilder Ave.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
