2010 COUNTY PRODUCT ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
The City and County of Honolulu, County of Hawai’i, County of Kaua’i, and County of Maui, in partnership with the
Hawai’i Tourism Authority (“HTA”), State of Hawai’i, are soliciting proposals for projects under the County Product
Enrichment Program (CPEP). Information packets will be available beginning August 26, 2009, from the appropriate
county offices as listed below. Written proposals are due October 5, 2009. The intent of the program is to diversify and
enrich Hawai’i’s tourism product by developing new and enhancing existing community-based events, experiences,
and projects related to the niches of agriculture, culture, education, nature, health & wellness, and technology.
Proposals for this program should work to address the goal and objectives identified in the Hawai’i Tourism Strategic
Plan: 2005-2015 for the “Tourism Product Development” strategic initiative as well as the objectives of the CPEP.
Workshops are being offered in each county for those interested in more information about this program, including the
proposal solicitation and award processes. Copies of the RFP Information and Application Packets will also be
available. Attendance at the workshops is not required to apply. Packets will also be available through the County
contacts listed below beginning Wednesday, August 26, 2009.
