RENT TO WORK (RTW) PROGRAM
SOLICITATION OF AGENCIES ADMINISTERING AND PROVIDING SERVICES TO HOMELESS FAMILIES
This is a solicitation for all agencies operating within the City and County of Honolulu that provide services to the persons experiencing homelessness and whose program clientele meet WorkHawaii’s Rent To Work (RTW) requirements. The individuals must meet the federal definitions of homelessness and have participated in the Oahu Work Links (OWL) program by (1) keeping appointments with an OWL counselor a minimum of six times over a period of two months, being punctual, as confirmed in writing by an OWL employee; AND (2) attending at least one OWL workshop over a period of two months, as confirmed in writing by an OWL employee.

If your clientele meet the requirement outlined above and are interested in participating in the City and County of Honolulu RTW program, please refer your clients to WorkHawaii’s Dillingham Oahu WorkLinks Center at 1505 Dillingham Blvd, Room 110 or Waianae Oahu WorkLinks Center (Waianae Community Center) at 85-670 Farrington Hwy. Applications will be accepted starting Monday, August 10, 2009.
Rent To Work applications will continue to be accepted until the program reaches its capacity. Signs will be posted at WorkHawaii’s Dillingham and Waianae Centers, a notice will be published, and notices sent to referral agencies informing the general public that the Rent To Work program is closed.
