HAWAII STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH – EXEMPT POSITION
Emergency Response Exercise Coordinator – Public Health ($40,000-$50,000/yr plus benefits)
Work with stakeholders to develop a three year exercise plan on behalf of the Department
Design HSEEP-compliant exercises to evaluate public health response capabilities in an all-hazards threat environment, especially biological and communicable disease outbreaks associated with bioterrorism and influenza pandemics
Coordinate exercise planning groups and synthesize detailed plans and documentation of emergency response exercises including handbooks, evaluation plans, etc.
Coordinate post-evaluation conferences and facilitate development of improvement plans
Work constructively with emergency planners, logisticians, training staff to track implementation of corrective action plans
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree. Masters of Public Health or related degree preferred.
Skills and Experience: One year experience working in the field of public health emergency preparedness and response systems preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
