TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2009-7 TO AMEND SCHEDULE III OF SECTION 15-6.3 ESTABLISHING RIGHT/LEFT TURNS ON RED; SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XVII OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(4) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–AM PEAK; SCHEDULE XX OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(7) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–24 HOURS; SCHEDULE XXI OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(8) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–SPECIFIED TIMES; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule III of Sec. 15-6.3 establishing prohibited right/left turns on red by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Kanealii St-Lusitana St-Pauoa Rd. No right turn from Kanealii St. into Pauoa Rd. in the Ewa direction.”

b. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:

“Keahi St., for its entire length.”

“Moaka St., for its entire length.”

c. By amending Schedule XVII of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(4) establishing tow zones–AM Peak by amending thereto the following item:

Date St., mauka side, from Kamuela Ave. to a point 60’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of the Ewa intersection of Laau and Date Sts.; to read:

“Date St., mauka side, from a point 122’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Kameula Ave. to a point 60’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of the Ewa intersection of Laau and Date Sts. except for portions covered under Schedule 20 and 25.”

d. By amending Schedule XX of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(7) establishing tow zones–24 hours in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Date St., makai side, between Kapiolani Blvd. and the Ewa intersection of Laau and Date Sts.”

“Date St., makai side, distance 435’ Koko Head direction from a point 213’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Olokele St.”

“Date St., mauka side, from Lukepane St. to a point 230’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Olokele St.”

2. By amending thereto the following item:

Wilder Ave., mauka side, between Punahou and Spreckles Sts.; to read:

“Wilder Ave., mauka side, distance 320’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Punahou St.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“Date St., makai side, distance 70’ Ewa direction from a point 315’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Olokele St.”

“Date St., mauka side, 165’ Ewa direction from a point 260’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Olokele St.”

e. By amending Schedule XXI of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(8) establishing tow zones–specified times by amending thereto the following items:

Date St., makai side, between the Ewa intersection of Laau and Date Sts. and the Ewa curb prolongation of Kamuela Ave., 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., Monday to Friday except Saturdays Sundays and State holidays; to read:

“Date St., makai side, between the Ewa intersection of Laau and Date Sts. and the Ewa curb prolongation of Kamuela Ave., 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., Monday to Friday except Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays and portions covered under Schedules 20 and 25.”

Wilder Ave., mauka side, between Spreckles and Metcalf Sts., 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday except holidays; to read:

“Wilder Ave., mauka side, from a point 320’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Punahou St. to Metcalf St., 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday except State holidays.”

f. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Alewa Dr., both sides, between Aulii St. to a point 220’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Helemano St.”

“Iao Ln., mauka side, distance 25’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Old Palama St.”

“Isenberg St., Ewa side, distance 53’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Lime St.”

“Laahaina Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Laaunoni Pl., southern side, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”

“Maalaea Rd., makai side, distance 47’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Naio St.”

“Malahuna Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Maohu Pl., both sides, including its turnaround area.”

“Paakai Pl., both sides, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”

“Palolo Ave., Koko Head side, distance 63’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of 6th Ave.”

“Palolo Ave., mauka side, distance 17’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Palolo Ave.”

2. By amending thereto the following items:

Heulu St., mauka side, distance 46’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Keeaumoku St.; to read:

“Heulu St., mauka side, distance 66’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Keeaumoku St.”

Heulu St., makai side, distance 45’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Keeaumoku St.; to read:

“Heulu St., makai side, distance 62’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Keeaumoku St.”

Iao Ln., Koko Head-makai side, between Haloha St. and Old Palama St. except between mauka property line of 1506 Iao Ln. and the mauka property line of 1526 Iao Ln.; to read:

“Iao Ln., Koko/makai side, from a point 35’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Emmeluth Ln. to Palama St.”

Kapahulu Ave., Koko Head side, distance 180’ mauka direction starting from the mauka curb prolongation of Kalakaua Ave.; to read:

“Kapahulu Ave., Koko Head side, between Kalakaua Ave. and Lemon Rd.”

San Antonio Ave., even-numbered side, distance 75’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Lusitana St.; to read:

“San Antonio Ave., even-numbered side, distance 90’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Lusitana St.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“Alewa Dr., both sides, distance approximately 220’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Helemano St.”

“Alewa Dr., both sides, private roadway situated between 1594 and 1602 Alewa Dr., entire length.”

“Kapahulu Ave., Koko Head side, distance 60’ mauka direction starting from the mauka curb prolongation zoo parking lot driveway opposite Lemon Rd.”

g. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Hapapa St., mauka side, distance 96’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Niulii St.”

“Hiapo St., mauka side, distance 73’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Kuhaulua St.”

“Hiapo St., makai side, distance 103’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Kuhaulua St.”

“Managers Dr., Ewa side, distance 150’ makai direction from a point 100’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Hiapo St.”

“Managers Dr., Ewa side, distance 170’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Hiapo St.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Kapahulu Ave., Koko Head side, distance 124’ mauka direction from a point 212’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Kalakaua Ave.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
