NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 2-32.3(b)(5), Revised Ordinances of Honolulu, to notify members of the public that video surveillance cameras are being installed in the following location:

Location: Kuhio Beach Surfboard Locker Area

Video camera capabilities and monitored area:
1 fixed camera will be mounted on the Honolulu Police Department Waikiki Substation (“Waikiki Substation”) roof and 9 PTZ rotating cameras with capability to pan and rotate, will be mounted on the light poles within the surfboard locker area to provide coverage of the following areas:
Makai side of the Honolulu Police Department Waikiki Substation;
Sidewalk area between the Moana Surfrider Hotel and the Waikiki Substation;
Diamond Head side of the Moana Surfrider Hotel
Sidewalk area between the Waikiki Substation and the Public Restrooms;
Ewa side of Waikiki Beach Food Concession and Public Restrooms;
Beach area fronting the surfboard lockers down to the Kapahulu Groin,
Waikiki Beach to the horizon.

The video surveillance is being initiated in accordance with the authority granted under the provisions of Section 32.3(a)(3), Revised Ordinances of Honolulu.
