TWO SEPARATE REQUESTS FOR AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 21, REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (THE LAND USE ORDINANCE) RELATING TO MEETING FACILITIES IN INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS

a. Resolution No. 02-141, CD1, Relating to Meeting Facilities in Industrial Districts: Repeals the regulation that no meeting facility shall be located within 1,000 feet of another meeting facility in the same or another industrial zoning district. The resolution also invites the Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP) to consider zoning map changes as another means to allow more meeting facilities in areas currently zoned for industrial uses.

b. Resolution No. 07-292, CD1, Relating to Meeting Facilities in Industrial Districts: Removes the 1,000-foot separation and three-month vacancy requirement for meeting facilities located in industrial districts.
