On March 12, 2009, the federal Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, issued its concurrence of Hawaii’s CZM routine program changes submittal. The changes consist of additions and modifications to Hawaii Revised Statutes, Hawaii Administrative Rules, and County Administrative Rules. A summary of each program change and its enforceable policies was published in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, Hawaii Tribune-Herald, The Maui News and The Garden Island on November 5, 2008. Federal consistency of these program changes will take effect on March 31, 2009. Copies of the program changes are available for review during office hours at the Office of Planning’s CZM Office, 6th Floor, Leiopapa A Kamehameha Building (State Office Tower), 235 South Beretania Street, Honolulu.
