IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2009-1 TO AMEND SCHEDULE IV OF SECTION 15-7.2(a)(2) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–15 MPH; SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XI OF SECTION 15-8.3(b) ESTABLISHING NO TURNS; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule IV of Sec. 15-7.2(a)(2) establishing speed limit–15 mph by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Kaiolu St., for its entire length.”

b.. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:

“Kaiolu St., for its entire length.”

“Kanawao St., for its entire length.”

“Laukea St., for its entire length.”

“Pumaia Pl., for its entire length.”

c. By amending Schedule XI of Sec. 15-8.3(b) establishing no turns by adding thereto the following item:

“Kapahulu Ave. No left turn from Kapahulu Ave. into the makai driveway at 900 Kapahulu Ave. (Safeway).”

d. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Kanawao Pl. Traffic on Kanawao Pl. shall stop before entering Kanawao St.”

“Laukea St. Traffic on Laukea St. shall stop before entering Kanawao St.”

“Laukea St. Traffic on Laukea St. shall stop before entering Lumiaina St.”

“Pumaia Pl. Traffic on Pumaia Pl. shall stop before entering Laukea St.”

“Pumaia Wy. Traffic on Pumaia Wy. shall stop before entering Pumaia Pl.”

e. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Ahi Pl., mauka side, distance 88’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Pali Hwy.”

“Ahi Pl., makai side, distance 78’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Pali Hwy.”

“Mokulele Dr., Kahuku side, distance approximately 90’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Namoku St.”

“Monte St., mauka (northern) side, distance 42’ Ewa (westerly) direction from a point 80’ Ewa (west) of the Ewa curb prolongation of Nihi St.”

“Pumaia Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Pumaia Wy., Koko Head (eastern) side, distance 58’ mauka (northerly) direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Pumaia Pl. and including its turnaround area.”

“Stream Dr., Ewa side, distance 20’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Pahili Rd.”

2. By amending thereto the following items:

Green St., mauka side, distance 18’ Ewa direction from the Ewa property line of 1099 Green St.; to read:

Kaihee St., both sides, entire length; to read:

“Kaihee St., both sides, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”

Rooke Ave., Ewa side, between Hawaii St. and Kauai St.; to read:

“Rooke Ave., Ewa side, between Hawaii and Wyllie Sts.”
Stream Dr., Koko Head side, distance 31’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Pahili St.; to read:

“Stream Dr., Koko Head side, distance 51’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Pahili Rd.”

Waipio Uka St., northern side, distance 45’ easterly direction from the eastern curb prolongation of Moaniani St.; to read:

3. By deleting therefrom the following items:

f. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic controls in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Aheahe Ave., from Ihiihi Ave. to Ehoeho Ave., the speed limit shall be 20 miles per hour.”

“Hoihoi Ave., from Aheahe Ave. to Lalawai St., the speed limit shall be 20 miles per hour.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Kaiolu St., for its entire length, the roadway shall have a weight limit of 5 tons.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
