The State of Hawaii, Department of Land and Natural Resources, pursuant to Chapter 183C, Hawaii Revised Statutes, will hold a public hearing in Hawaii, to receive testimony on the following:

Conservation District Use Application (CDUA) HA-3488

CDUA HA-3488 for use of State-owned lands to construct Puako Emergency Road for the Puako Community Association, South Kohala District, Island of Hawaii, TMK: (3) 6-9-001:017 & 6-9-006:051.

A copy of the application and the Final Environmental Assessment (FEA) is available for inspection at the Office of Conservation and Coastal Lands, Department of Land and Natural Resources in Honolulu at the Kalanimoku Building, 1151 Punchbowl Street, Room 131, Honolulu, Hawaii, at the Land Division Office, Hilo State Office Building, 75 Aupuni Street, Room 204, Hilo, Hawaii, and at the Thelma Parker Public Library.

Any person may testify or present information on the application. If you have a legal interest that may be adversely affected by the application, you may have the right to request an administrative contested case hearing. However, you must make the request either orally or in writing by the close of this public hearing and file a written petition for a contested case hearing within 10 days after the date of this public hearing. If you do not make such a request, or fail to file a timely written petition with the Department of Land and Natural Resources, you may be precluded from obtaining a contested case hearing and judicial review. See Chapter 13-1 Hawaii Administrative Rules of the Department of Land and Natural Resources and Chapter 91 Hawaii Revised Statutes.
