Handling Fee Adjustment For Glass Deposit Containers
State of Hawaii, Department of Health, Solid and Hazardous Waste Branch, 919 Ala Moana Boulevard, Room 212, Honolulu, Hawaii 96814, is announcing an adjustment to the handling fee paid to certified redemption centers that recycle glass containers covered by the Hawaii Deposit Beverage Container Law pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes, Chapter 342G, Part VIII.
Handling Fees
The Department of Health shall pay certified redemption center operators a handling fee for each glass deposit beverage container recycled. Operators must be certified with the Department of Health to receive handling fees. The handling fee amounts for glass deposit containers are as follows:
Fee Per Glass Container Recycled by a DOH Approved End-User:
Remanufacturing Applications: 4¢
Construction & Agriculture Applications: 2¢
