TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2008-8 TO AMEND SCHEDULE III OF SECTION 15-6.3 ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED RIGHT/LEFT TURNS ON RED; SCHEDULE IV OF SECTION 15-7.2(a)(2) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–15 MPH; SCHEDULE XI OF SECTION 15-8.3(b) ESTABLISHING NO TURNS; SCHEDULE XX OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(7) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–24 HOURS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXIV OF SECTION 15-15.1(d) ESTABLISHING CURB LOADING ZONES; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule III of Sec. 15-6.3 establishing prohibited right/left turns on red by adding thereto the following item:

“Moanalua Rd-Waimano Home Rd. No right turn from Moanalua Rd. into Waimano Home Rd. in the mauka direction except from right lane after stop.”

b. By amending Schedule IV of Sec. 15-7.2(a)(2) establishing speed limit–15 mph by adding thereto the following items:

“Charles St., for its entire length.”

“Mokihana St., for its entire length.”

“Olu St., for its entire length.”

“Paliuli St., for this entire length.”

c. By amending Schedule XI of Sec. 15-8.3(b) establishing no turns by adding thereto the following item:

“Makakilo Dr. No “U” turn from Makakilo Dr. at Anipeahi St. from mauka bound to makai bound direction, large trucks and buses only.”

d. By amending Schedule XX of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(7) establishing tow zones–24 hours by adding thereto the following item:

“Kamehameha Hwy., makai side, distance 30’ Makapuu direction from the Kahuku property line of 47-039 Kamehameha Hwy.”

e. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Kealaolu Pl., Koko Head side, distance 40’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Kealaolu Ave.”

“Kapahulu Ave., Ewa side, between Kaimuki Ave. and Winam Ave.”

“Nahewai St., mauka side, distance 41’ Kaneohe direction from the Kaneohe curb prolongation of Kalali St.”

2. By amending thereto the following item:

Naio St., Ewa side, between Hala Dr. and Maalaea Rd.; to read:

“Naio St., Ewa (even numbered) side, between Hala Dr. and Houghtailing St.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“Kapahulu Ave., Ewa side, distance 95’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Kaimuki Ave.”

“Kapahulu Ave., Ewa side, distance 130’ mauka direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Winam Ave.”

f. By amending Schedule XXIV of Sec. 15-15.1(d) establishing curb loading zones subsection (a) passenger loading zones by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Young St., mauka side, distance 20’ Ewa direction from point 25’ Ewa of Ewa curb prolongation Palm Dr., 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., school days.”

g. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops by amending thereto the following item:

Date St., makai side, distance 143’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Ekela St.; to read:

“Date St., makai side, distance. 183’ Koko Head direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Ekela St.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
