BID FORMS for IFB No. 09-0022, with plans, REPAIR ROOT DAMAGED CURBING, KAUAI COMMUNITY COLLEGE, will be available from and received in the OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (OPRPM), UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, 1400 LOWER CAMPUS ROAD, ROOM 15, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96822, OR at the OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, KAUAI COMMUNITY COLLEGE, 3-1901 KAUMUALII HIGHWAY, LIHUE, HAWAII 96766.

Written notice of intention to bid is due in OPRPM by 4:30 p.m., August 18, 2008. Intention to bid via FAX (808) 956-2093 is acceptable.

Requests for Substitution/Clarification must be submitted to the Technical Representative, Rodney Yim, FAX (808) 956-0865, no later than 4:00 p.m., August 14, 2008.

Bids must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., August 28, 2008.

Bids will be opened at 2:30 p.m., September 2, 2008.

Bids received after the due time and date(s) fixed above will not be considered.

The project in general shall consist of repairing concrete curbs and asphalt pavements damaged by tree root intrusion. The work shall include, but is not limited to, removal of tree stumps, demolition of existing damaged curbs and pavements, removal of all roots, replacement of damaged buried electrical wiring, construction of new curbs and gutters, placing new asphalt pavement, repair of damaged storm drain inlet, and construction of a speed hump.

To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor’s license A. BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
