TOURISM SPECIALIST
The Hawai’i Tourism Authority (HTA) is a state agency responsible for tourism planning, marketing, product development, and other tourism-related programs and activities. HTA is seeking a tourism specialist who will be located in HTA’s Product Development Office. Duties include implementation of tourism-related programs such as visitor assistance and workforce development.
This position is exempt from state civil service requirements and security but features all other state fringe benefits, including vacation and sick leave, health insurance coverage, life insurance, and retirement.
This position will work with a wide range of stakeholders and requires strong communication and inter-personal skills, writing and organizational skills, the ability to follow directions yet work independently, a four-year college/university degree or five years of progressively responsible experience in the tourism, travel industry management, marketing, hospitality services, or related fields.
