NOTICE TO BIDDERS
BID FORMS for IFB No. 08-061, with plans, Speech Pathology (Bldg. 171F), Various Mechanical Health and Safety Repairs, will be available from and received in the OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (OPRPM), UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, 1400 LOWER CAMPUS ROAD, ROOM 15, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96822.
Written notice of intention to bid is due in OPRPM by 4:30 p.m., January 11, 2008. Intention to bid via FAX (808) 956-2093 is acceptable.
Due to conditions at the site that may not be clearly identified in technical specifications and plans, it is highly recommended that all bidders and Mechanical Contractors (C-52) attend a pre-bid conference/job site walk-through at 9:00 a.m., January 8, 2008, at William S. Richardson School of Law, Classroom No. 1, 2515 Dole Street, Honolulu. Bidders must purchase a Gate Ticket ($3.00) and park in Zone 20 Quarry (Parking Structure) for this pre-bid conference. Bidders are to display the visitor parking ticket on their dashboard in plain view of parking guards.
Requests for Substitution/Clarification must be submitted to the Technical Representative, Blake Araki, no later than 4:00 p.m., January 9, 2008.
Bids must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., January 23, 2008. Bids received after the stated due time and date(s) will not be considered.
The project shall generally consist of removal of all existing mechanical equipment, ductwork and piping and providing and installing new mechanical equipment, ductwork, and piping. Work also includes installation of new ceiling, new lighting fixtures, electrical, gypsum board, painting, asbestos abatement, PCB ballast removal and clean-up of interior wall surfaces where mold has been identified, complete.
To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor\u2019s license B. BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
