NOTICE TO BIDDERS

BID FORMS for IFB No. 08-048, with plans, Bookstore Improvements, Maui Community College, will be available from and received in the OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (OPRPM), UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, 1400 LOWER CAMPUS ROAD, ROOM 15, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96822, OR at the OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE AFFAIRS, MAUI COMMUNITY COLLEGE, 310 KAAHUMANU AVENUE, KAHULUI, HAWAII 96732.

Written notice of intention to bid is due in OPRPM by 4:30 p.m., January 8, 2008. Intention to bid via FAX (808) 956-2093 is acceptable.

Due to conditions at the site that may not be clearly identified in technical specifications and plans, it is highly recommended that all bidders attend a pre-bid conference/job site walk-through at 9:00 a.m., December 21, 2007 at Maui Community College, Laulima 214, 310 Kaahumanu Avenue, Kahului, Hawaii.

Requests for Substitution/Clarification must be submitted to the Technical Representative, Brian Kashiwaeda, FAX (808) 956-0865, no later than 4:00 p.m., January 4, 2008.

Bids must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., January 18, 2008.

Bids will be opened at 2:30 p.m., January 22, 2008.
Bids received after the due time and date(s) fixed above will not be considered.

The project in general shall consist of tenant space build out in the existing Student Service Center, Bookstore space. Work includes new flooring; ceiling treatment; furring of interior walls; fixtures and equipment (including audio/visual equipment); data, telephone, cable lines; mechanical air conditioning duct work including any appurtenant work necessary to complete the project.

To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor\u2019s license B. BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
