1. TWO (2) BILLS TO AMEND CHAPTER 21, REVISED ORDINANCES OF
HONOLULU 1990 (THE LAND USE ORDINANCE), RELATING TO THE
TRANSMISSION OF PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATIONS TO
THE COUNCIL

To establish a time limit for the Mayor to transmit Planning Commission
recommendations to the City Council within 30 days of receipt of such.

A public hearing was held on this matter on August 22, 2007. The public
hearing was continued to allow time for the corporation counsel to respond to
the commissioners’ questions regarding standing and the ability to bring a civil
action.

Information regarding this public hearing can be obtained by contacting the Planning
Commission, 7th floor, Frank F. Fasi Municipal Building, 650 South King Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, telephone 768-8007. Special services for people with disabilities will be provided upon prior request.

Fifteen (15) copies of testimony on any item should be filed with the Planning Commission at least forty-eight (48) hours before the date of the public hearing.
