NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing to be held by the Hawaii Community Development Authority (“HCDA”), State of Hawaii, under the provisions of Chapter 91 and Chapter 206E, Hawaii Revised Statutes, on November 7, 2007, at the offices of HCDA, 677 Ala Moana Boulevard, Suite 1000, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter, as those interested may be heard to consider the following item:

Proposed Repeal of Subchapter 10 of Chapter 20, Title 15, Hawaii Administrative Rules, Relating to Improvement District 11 (ID-11) of the Kakaako Community Development District

The repeal of Subchapter 10 is proposed because HCDA has canceled the ID-11 project in the best interest of the State of Hawaii due to an increase in construction costs. Repealing Subchapter 10 would abolish the ID-11 assessment area and the assessments to the benefiting properties therein.

The assessment area district is generally bounded by: Ward Avenue, and Kawaiahao, Kamakee and Waimanu Streets. The assessments for the following properties will be canceled with the repeal of Subchapter 10:

Copies of the public hearing item are available for inspection during regular business hours at the offices of HCDA, 677 Ala Moana Boulevard, Suite 1001, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, or will be mailed to anyone who requests a copy after payment has been made for copying and postage costs. To request a copy of the public hearing item or submit written comments or testimony, please contact the offices of HCDA on or before the date of the public hearing. To present oral testimony, sign up at the time of the public hearing. Speakers are requested to submit 25 copies of their statements.
