Certificate of Need

The Agency has received certificate of need application #07-11 for standard review from Maui Cancer Center PET/CT Company, LLC, for the establishment of Positron Emission Tomography and Computed Tomography (PET/CT) services, at 59 Hookele Street, Kahului, Maui, at a capital cost of $880,000.
Application reviews are scheduled as follows:
October 4, 2007, Tri-Isle Subarea Health Planning Council, 12:30 p.m. at J. Walter Cameron Center, Room 2, 95 Mahalani Street, Wailuku, Maui;
October 18, 2007, Certificate of Need Review Panel, 9:30 a.m., 1177 Alakea Street, Room 401, Honolulu, Hawaii;
October 25, 2007, Statewide Health Coordinating Council, 9:00 am, 235 South Beretania Street (State Office Tower/Leiopapa A Kamehameha), Room 204, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Certificate applications are reviewed according to the following criteria: relation to the state health services and facilities plan, need and accessibility, quality, cost and finances, relation to the existing health care system, and availability of resources.
