NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
LANAI PLANNING COMMISSION

The Lanai Planning Commission for the County of Maui hereby gives notice that it will conduct a hearing on September 19, 2007 commencing at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as is practicable in the Old Lanai Senior Center, 309 Seventh Street, Lanai City, Lanai, Hawaii 96763 on the following matter:

1. MR. RALPH MASUDA, Vice-President of Planning and Zoning of CASTLE & COOK RESORTS, LLC requesting an amendment to the Special Management Area Use Permit and Project District Phase 2 Approvals for 5-year time extension on the period to complete construction of the Manele Residential and Multi-Family Development at TMK: 4-9-017: 001, 002, 003, 004, 005, and 4-9-002: 049, Manele, Island of Lanai. (95/SM1- 015) (95/PH2-001) (P. Fasi) (A time extension was previously granted by the Lanai Planning Commission in 2003) (Previously discussed at the March 21, 2007 meeting.)

The subject public hearing will be conducted in accordance with the Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Maui County Code and the Rules of the Lanai Planning Commission. Information pertaining to the subject application may be obtained from the Department of Planning, 250 South High Street, Wailuku, Maui.

All testimony regarding the subject applications may be filed prior to the date of the hearing by providing 15 copies of said written testimony to the Department of Planning or may be presented at the time of the hearing.
