TAX CLERK
$2,407 per month (eff. 7/1/07)

Performs a variety of general and specialized clerical work involving tax matters.

One (1) year of responsible, substantive clerical work experience which demonstrated numerical facility and logical, analytical thinking and involved reviewing documents to ensure that numerical data and arithmetic computations are complete, accurate, properly categorized and recorded, and in accordance with pertinent rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines.

DELINQUENT TAX COLLECTION ASSISTANT I (DTCA I)
$2,705 per month (eff. 7/1/07)

Performs a variety of delinquent tax collection assignments ranging from the simple to moderately difficult that require field contacts.

General Experience Requirement:
4 years of progressively responsible experience in one or a combination of the following which included arithmetical computations: public contact work experience which involved interviewing and investigating; or clerical experience which provided a familiarity with State and/or Federal tax laws and regulations and with methods, practices and procedures of tax work.

Specialized Experience Requirement:
1 year experience in the tax field which required the application of tax laws and related regulations and procedures in collecting current or delinquent taxes, in preparing tax returns, or in determining tax liability.

DELINQUENT TAX COLLECTION ASSISTANT II (DTCA II)
$2,926 per month (eff. 7/1/07)

Performs delinquent tax collection assignments which regularly encompass complex problems and which require immediate action to prevent loss of revenue to the State.

In addition to the DTCA I requirements above, candidate must possess 1 additional year of specialized experience, and at least one year experience comparable to the next lower level.
