REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

The State Department of Transportation invites all parties that wish to apply for Federal Traffic Safety Grants in Federal Fiscal Year 2008 to submit a proposal by June 1, 2007, 4:30 p.m. There will be approximately $1 million in Federal funds available for traffic safety projects.

The Department will reserve a certain amount of funds to be distributed as $2,000 mini-grants for Safe Community Coalitions.

Meetings to discuss the Federal and State priorities for proposals and how to apply for these funds are scheduled throughout the state. Safe Community Coalitions, County and State Agencies, and others are encouraged to attend this meeting. The meetings will be held on:
