NOTICE TO BIDDERS
BID FORMS for IFB No. 07-077, with plans, Construct Chiller and Transformer Building at Hamilton Library, Phases I and II, will be available from and received in the OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (OPRPM), UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, 1400 LOWER CAMPUS ROAD, ROOM 15, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96822.
Written notice of intention to bid is due in OPRPM by 4:30 p.m., February 12, 2007. Intention to bid via FAX (808) 956-2093 is acceptable.
Due to conditions at the site that may not be clearly identified in technical specifications and plans, it is highly recommended that all bidders including Mechanical Contractors (C-52) and Electrical Contractors (C-13) attend the pre-bid conference/job site walk-through at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2007, Room 301, Hamilton Library, 2550 McCarthy Mall, Honolulu. Bidders may park at the Lower Campus Parking Structure (Zone 20) or at the Dole Street Parking Structure (Zone 22) for this pre-bid conference. A parking fee of $3.00 will be charged at the designated parking structures. Bidders are to display the visitor parking ticket on their dashboard in plain view of parking guards. Parking will be busy because of the start of spring semester so please plane accordingly.
Requests for Substitution/Clarification must be submitted to the Technical Representative, Bruce Teramoto, no later than 4:00 p.m., February 1, 2007
Bids must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., February 22, 2007.
The project shall generally consist of construction of a single story reinforced concrete structure, including earthwork, micro-piles, reinforced concrete footing, floor slab, and roof slab, concrete unit masonry walls, modified bituminous sheet roofing, flashing and sheet metal, doors, metal wall louvers, architectural finishes, building specialties, fire protection and alarm systems, air conditioning equipment and accessories, concrete sidewalk, curb, connecting utilities, and landscape, complete.
To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor\u2019s license A or B. BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
Bids received after the due time and date(s) fixed above will not be considered.
