NOTICE TO CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS AND
CERTIFIED INFORMATION SYSTEM AUDITORS
INTERESTED IN PROVIDING AUDITING, ACCOUNTING, AND
RELATED SERVICES TO THE STATE AUDITOR
The Auditor of the State of Hawaii, whose office is attached to the Legislature, is required by Article VII, Section 10 of the State Constitution and Section 23-4, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), to conduct post-audits of the transactions, accounts, programs, and performance of all departments, offices, and agencies of the State and its political subdivisions.
Pursuant to Section 103D-304, HRS, of the Hawaii Public Procurement Code, the Auditor hereby invites certified public accounting and information system audit firms to submit Statements of Qualifications and expressions of interest for FY 200607, in order to be considered for possible inclusion on a list of firms qualified to provide the services described below.
The Auditor anticipates needing the services of certified public accountants and certified information systems auditors to conduct financial and information systems audits; examine systems and procedures of accounting, reporting, and internal controls; review for compliance with laws, regulations, and contracts of federal, state, and local government units; and provide other consulting services within the Auditors constitutional and statutory authority.
Any contract award will be based on demonstrated competence and qualification for the type of services at fair and reasonable prices.
Instructions, specifications, and the criteria for selection for the Statement of Qualifications may be obtained at Office of the Auditor, 465 South King Street, Room 500, Honolulu, HI 96813 between the hours of 7:45am and 4:30pm on normal business days.
Completed Statement of Qualifications must be received by the Office of the Auditor no later than 12:00 noon on January 19, 2007. Facsimiles will not be accepted. All inquiries regarding this request shall be directed to Calvin Hangai at 587-0822.
This Request for Qualifications may be canceled and any and all Statements of Qualifications may be rejected in whole or in part when it is in the best interest of the State.
