TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2006-11 TO AMEND SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XI OF SECTION 15-8.3(b) ESTABLISHING NO TURNS; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XIX OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(6) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–AM/PM PEAKS; SCHEDULE XX OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(7) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–24 HOURS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXIII OF SECTION 15-14.5(b) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED LOADING/UNLOADING; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:

“Arizona Rd., between Camp Catlin Rd. and Salt Lake Blvd.”

“Hoohulu St., for its entire length.”

“Ihilani St., for its entire length.”

b. By amending Schedule XI of Sec. 15-8.3(b) establishing no turns by adding thereto the following items:

“Kupuna Lp. No left turn from Lower Kupuna Lp. into Kunia Shopping Center’s driveway.”

“Kupuna Lp. No left turn from Kunia Shopping Center’s driveway into Lower Kupuna Lp.”

“Punahou St. No left turn from Punahou St. into the driveway of Maryknoll High School.”

“Waimano Home Rd. No left turn from Waimano Home Rd. into the entrance of the Pearl City Elementary School/Pacheco Neighborhood Park, 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., school days only.”

“Waimano Home Rd. (Pearl City Elementary School). No left turn from the Pearl City Elementary School/Pacheco Neighborhood Park driveway into Waimano Home Rd., 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., school days only.”

c. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections by adding thereto the following item:

“Kohomua St-Kalaloa St. Traffic on Kohomua St. shall stop before entering Kalaloa St.”

d. By amending Schedule XIX of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(6) establishing tow zones–AM/PM peaks by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Beretania St., makai side, between Alapai St. and Kapiolani Blvd.”

e. By amending Schedule XX of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(7) establishing tow zones–24 hours in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“S. Beretania St., makai side, between Lauhala and Richards Sts.”

“Alokele St., mauka side, distance 186’ Ewa direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Kaiwiula St. and including its terminus.”

“Alokele St., makai side, from the Ewa curb prolongation of Kaiwiula St. to its terminus.”

“Leahi Ave., makai side, distance 85’ Koko Head direction from a point 323’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Kapahulu Ave.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Beretania St., makai side, between Kapiolani Blvd. and Richards St.”

f. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5 (a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Cartwright Rd., makai side, distance 40’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Paoakalani Ave.”

“Leokane St., Koko Head (eastern) side, distance 130’ makai (southerly) direction from the makai curb prolongation of Farrington Hwy.”

“Likini St., makai (southern) side, between Ala Akulikuli and Ala Ilima Sts.”

“Napehe Pl., Koolau (eastern) side, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”

“Prospect St., mauka side, distance 40’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Emerson St.”

“Waihona St., Koko Head side, distance approximately 1000 feet makai direction from a point 230’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Waihona Pl.”

“Wanaka St., Ewa side, distance approximately 121’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Likini St.”

2. By amending thereto the following items:

Cartwright Rd., makai side, from a point 215’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Paoakalani Ave. to Kapahulu Ave.; to read:

“Cartwright Rd., makai side, from a point 150’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Paoakalani Ave. to Kapahulu Ave.”

Pumehana St., Ewa side, between King St. and Kapiolani Blvd.; to read:

“Pumehana St., Ewa side, between S. King St. and Kapiolani Blvd. except at fully widened portion fronting 910 Pumehana St.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“Leahi Ave., makai side, distance 88’ fronting the Waikiki Fire Station’s Koko Head driveway.”

“Prospect St., makai side, between Alapai St. and Emerson St., AM/PM peak.”

g. By amending Schedule XXIII of Sec. 15-14.5(b) establishing prohibited loading/ unloading by adding thereto the following item:

“Leahi Ave., makai side, distance 85’ Koko Head direction from a point 323’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Kapahulu Ave.”

h. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Honowai St., mauka side, distance 135’ Waianae direction from the Waianae curb prolongation of Kipou St. (Koko Head intersection).”

“Honowai St., makai side, distance 150’ Waianae direction from the Waianae curb prolongation of Kipou St. (Koko Head intersection).”

“Kupuna Lp., makai side, distance 150’ Makakilo direction from a point 13’ Makakilo of the Koolau property line of 94-249 Kupuna Lp.”

“S. King St., makai side, distance 270’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Alakea St.”

“S. King St., makai side, distance 180’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Alakea St.”

2. By amending thereto the following item:

Dillingham Blvd., mauka side, distance 150’ Koko Head direction from a point 47’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Mokauea St.; to read:

3. By deleting therefrom the following items:

i. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic controls by adding thereto the following items:

“Prospect St., Koko Head bound traffic in the makai most lane must turn right at Ward Ave.”

“S. King St., Koko Head bound traffic in the makai most lane must turn right at Bishop St. except City buses.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
