SCHOOL ATHLETIC DIRECTOR III / I, WAIPAHU HIGH SCHOOL, POSITION NO. 64760. The School Athletic Director III/I position at Waiphau High School is located in the Leeward District on the island of Oahu. TRAINING: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree, preferably in education with course work in sports/athletic administration or physical education. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: for School Athletic Director III classification: Two (2) years experience as an Assistant Athletic Director I PLUS forty (40) or more teams; OR two (2) years as a School Athletic Director I PLUS thirty (30) to thirty-nine (39) teams, PLUS national certification; for School Athletic Director I classification: Five (5) years experience as an Assistant Athletic Director, high school head varsity coach, or high school administrator. SALARY RANGE: for School Athletic Director III classification: SR-3, $60,304 to $85,367; for School Athletic Director I classification: SR-1, $55,479 to $78,537. Department of Education certificated employees will be placed on the salary range in accordance with Department regulations. All others will be placed on the first step of the salary range which is $60,304 for School Athletic Director III and $55,479 for School Athletic Director I.
