NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing to be held by the Department of Planning and Permitting of the City and County of Honolulu, under the provisions of Section 6-1517 of the Charter of the City and County of Honolulu, for the following request for a variance of the Land Use Ordinance at the date and time specified or as soon thereafter as those interested may be heard:

Request : A variance to allow expansion of a nonconforming hotel (use); to allow the hotel to exceed the maximum permitted density and encroach into the required yards; to allow less than the required landscaping and open space; to allow compact size off-street parking spaces in lieu of standard spaces and other parking deficiencies, including off-street maneuvering area and aisle space; to allow less than the required off-street loading; and to allow less than the required percentage of lodging units for hotel use.

Attendance at the public hearing is not necessary to submit testimony. Written testimony which is received by the Department of Planning and Permitting at the above address prior to the public hearing will be considered in the evaluation of the request.
