Informatics/Science and
Research Group Officer
Salary commensurate with experience
The position is responsible for developing and implementing policies governing research, surveillance, data collection and usage to support a data warehouse project in the Department of Health. The position addresses staff competency and data governance to advance data utilization and sharing. Must have education and experience in public health or healthcare terminology and information systems and governance, and maintaining Oracle or other large scale RDBMS.
Science and Research Epidemiologist
The position is responsible for providing the public health epidemiological expertise and develops the data standards to support the Hawaii Health Data Warehouse (HHDW) and develops and coordinates training to support the utilization of the HHDW. Conducts data analysis to develop statistical, analytical and narrative reports. Must be proficient in statistical programming language.
