NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
AND AVAILABILITY OF PROPOSED PLANS
The Navy announces a public meeting at the Aiea Public Library at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 to discuss the Proposed Plans for the following sites:
Shoreline Site northwest of Dry Dock #3, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Oahu, Hawaii
Building 49, Naval Magazine Pearl Harbor, West Loch Branch, Oahu, Hawaii
On June 11, 2006, the Navy will begin a 30-day public comment period for both Proposed Plans. The public is encouraged to attend the public meeting on June 20, 2006 where the Proposed Plans will be presented. Verbal and written comments may be provided at this public meeting. Interested agencies, individuals and groups unable to attend the public meeting are encouraged to provide written comments no later than July 11, 2006. Copies of both Proposed Plans will be available at the University of Hawaii at Manoa Hamilton Library, Hawaiian and Pacific Collection. The Proposed Plan for the Shoreline Site northwest of Dry Dock #3 is also available at the Pearl City Public Library. The Proposed Plan for the Building 49 site is also available at the Ewa Beach Public Library.

The Proposed Plans summarize results from environmental investigations and site cleanups conducted at each site. The results indicate that both sites do not pose a threat to human health or the environment. Therefore, the Proposed Plans recommend that no further action is required for both sites.
