NOTICE OF SPECIAL PUBLIC HEARING
MAUI PLANNING COMMISSION
The Maui Planning Commission for the County of Maui hereby gives notice that it will conduct a special hearing on Monday, July 10, 2006 commencing at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as is practicable in the Lahaina Intermediate School Cafeteria, 871 Lahainaluna Road, Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii 96761 on the following:
SPECIAL MANAGEMENT AREA USE PERMIT
MR. RYAN CHURCHILL of KAPALUA LAND COMPANY requesting a Special Management Area Use Permit and a Phase 2 Project District Approval for the Honolua Store Renovations Project consisting of the reconstruction of the stores ancillary rear building to accommodate a deli, storage, and retail store buiding as well as other minor repairs and functional upgrades to the main store building and related improvements at 502 Office Road in West Maui Project District No. 1 (Kapalua) at TMK: 4-2-004: 024, Kapalua, Island of Maui. (SM1 2005/0029) (PH2 2005/0009)
The subject public hearing will be conducted in accordance with the Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Maui County Code and the Rules of the Maui Planning Commission. Information pertaining to the subject application may be obtained from the Maui County Planning Department, 250 S. High Street, Wailuku, Maui.
Petitions to intervene shall be in conformity with Section 12-201-20 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure for the Maui Planning Commission and shall be filed with the commission and served upon the applicant no less than ten (10) days before the first public hearing date. Filing of all documents to the commission is c/o the Maui Planning Department, 250 South High Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793. The deadline for the filing of a timely Petition to Intervene is June 23, 2006 at 4:30 p.m.
All testimony regarding the subject application may be filed prior to the date of the hearing by providing 15 copies of said written testimony to the Department of Planning or may be presented at the time of the hearing.
