Traffic Schedule No. 2017-2
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2017-2 TO AMEND SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XXI OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(8) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–SPECIFIED TIMES; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS; SCHEDULE XXVII OF SECTION 15-17.1 ESTABLISHING CROSSWALKS; SCHEDULE XXVIII OF SECTION 15-17.2(d) ESTABLISHING RESTRICTED PEDESTRIANS CROSSING ROADWAYS; SCHEDULE XXXII OF SECTION 15-6.7(c) ESTABLISING TWO-WAY LEFT TURN LANES.
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:
a. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following item:
“Kaimalino St., for its entire length.”
b. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections by adding thereto the following item:
“Halemanu St-Hui Iwa St. Traffic on Halemanu St. shall stop before entering Hui Iwa St.”
c. By amending Schedule XXI of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(8) establishing tow zones-specified times by amending thereto the following item:
University Ave., Koko Head side, distance 337’ mauka direction from a point 139’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Metcalf St., 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and State Holidays; to read:
“University Ave., Koko Head side, distance 116’ mauka direction from the makai curb prolongation of Seaview Ave., 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and State Holidays.”
d. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Hoowalea St., northern side, distance 50’ easterly direction from the eastern curb prolongation of Hoowalea Pl.”
“Hui Iwa St., Kahuku side, distance 173’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Kahekili Hwy. (Kahuku intersection).”
“Hui Iwa St., Makapuu side, distance 178’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Kahekili Hwy. (Kahuku intersection).”
“Kupuohi Pl., southern side, distance 60’ easterly direction from the southeastern curb prolongation of Kupuohi St.”
2. By amending thereto the following items:
Hoowalea St., makai (southern) side, from Keaunui Dr. to a point 50’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Hoowalea Pl.; to read:
“Hoowalea St., southern side, from Keaunui Dr. to a point 25’ east of the eastern curb prolongation of Hoowalea Pl.”
Mahoe St., Koko Head side, distance 150’ mauka direction from a point 90’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Hapapa St., 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., school days only; to read:
“Mahoe St., Koko Head side, distance 375’ mauka direction from a point 215’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Waipahu St., 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., school days only.”
Mahoe St., Koko Head side, distance 63’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Waipahu St.; to read:
“Mahoe St., Koko Head side, distance 80’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Waipahu St.”
e. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops by amending thereto the following items:
Mahoe St., Koko Head side, distance 150’ mauka direction from a point 63’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Waipahu St.; to read:
“Mahoe St., Koko Head side distance 135’ mauka direction from a point 80’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Waipahu St.”
University Ave., Koko Head side, distance 142’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Metcalf St.; to read:
“University Ave., Koko Head side, distance 315’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Metcalf St.”
f. By amending Schedule XXVII of Sec. 15-17.1 establishing crosswalks by deleting therefrom the following item:
“Liliha St., 100’ makai of Kellet Ln.”
g. By amending Schedule XXVIII of Sec. 15-17.2(d) establishing restricting pedestrians crossing roadways by adding thereto the following item:
“Liliha St., the unmarked crosswalk on Liliha St. fronting 1711 and 1728 St., makai of N. Kuakini St.”
h. By amending Schedule XXXII of Sec. 15-6.7(c) establishing two-way left turn lanes by adding thereto the following item:
“Hui Iwa St., between Halemanu St. and Apoalewa Pl.”
Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
