NOTICE OF DISPOSITION
OF IMPOUNDED VESSEL
BY PUBLIC AUCTION
Notice is hereby given that the following vessel listed below have either been impounded or owned by the DEPARTMENT OF LAND AND NATURAL RESOURCES, DIVISON OF BOATING AND OCEAN RECREATION, 4 Sand Island Access Road, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819. Scheduled time of disposition by public auction will be at 10:00 a.m. on January 5, 2017 at the Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation Kauai District Office, located at the Nawiliwili Small Boat Harbor, 2494 Niumalu Road, Lihue, Hawaii 96766. The vessel will be disposed of by public auction pursuant to Chapter 200, Hawaii Revised Statutes.
An auction catalog, with pertinent information and auction procedure instructions may be obtained in person during the hours of7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation, Kauai District Office, 2494 Niumalu Road, Lihue, Hawaii 96766.
A copy of the auction catalog and auction procedures shall be available for inspection at the Hawaii District Boating Office at Honokohau Small Boat Harbor, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; Maui District Boating Office, Wailuku, Maui; and the Oahu District Office, Honolulu, Oahu.
The listed item contained in the auction catalog is sold as is, same location. There are no guarantees or warranties. The sale of the vessel does not include a berth, mooring, storage area or trailer, unless specifically stated. Buyers must make separate arrangements for a berth. Interested parties are informed of the requirement, under “provision” for the purchaser to remove the vessel from its present location within the prescribed time after the issuance of the Bill of Sale. The prescribed time for removal after the auction shall be included in the auction catalog. No vessel shall be sold for less than its minimum bid upset price as noted in the auction catalog.
The Department of Land and Natural Resources reserves the right to remove any item from the auction at any time. Should the registered owners of any of the vessels pay all outstanding fees and charges prior to the start of the auction on January 5, 2017, the vessel will be removed from the auction.
The stated item is under the custody of the Department of Land and Natural Resources. Trespassing is prohibited.
If the vessel is not sold at auction, the vessel will be disposed of in accordance with Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 200-16.
Item No. K-1601, “HULA HOOP”, Reg. No. CF 8977 HN, a 33-ft. fiberglass sailing vessel, in fair condition.
