VIDEO MONITORING FOR THE
ALA MOANA REGIONAL PARK

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the General Public pursuant to Section 2-32.3(b)(5), Revised Ordinances of Honolulu, that the City and County of Honolulu (City) will be installing video surveillance cameras to monitor the Area A (Ewa) and Area C (Diamond Head) comfort stations of Ala Moana Regional Park. These cameras will be employed for the general prevention and deterrence of criminal activity and to ensure the safety and security of the public. The video surveillance cameras will be used to achieve legitimate law enforcement objectives for legitimate public purposes.
The video surveillance cameras will begin operating 10 calendar days after publication of this legal notice. These cameras will be recording and may have tilt, pan, zoom, telescopic, and panoramic capabilities. The cameras will not have audio monitoring capabilities.
The General Public may submit written comments relating to the video monitoring to:

CAMERA LOCATIONS AT THE
ALA MOANA REGIONAL PARK COMFORT STATION
(a) Two (2) video surveillance cameras, located on the south side of the Ewa
comfort station, outside of the men’s and women’s restrooms, will be installed
and operated continuously recording the entrances to the men’s and women’s
restrooms.
(b) Two (2) video surveillance cameras, located on the south side of the Diamond
Head comfort station, outside of the men’s and women’s restrooms, will be
installed and operated continuously recording the entrances to the men’s and
women’s restrooms.
