Traffic Schedule No. 2016-5
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2016-5 TO AMEND SCHEDULE II OF SECTION 15-6.2(b) ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC SIGNALS ON FEDERAL-AID HIGHWAYS (STATE); SCHEDULE III OF SECTION 15-6.3 ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED RIGHT/LEFT TURNS ON RED; SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESTABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:
a. By amending Schedule II of Sec. 15-6.2(b) establishing traffic signals on Federal-Aid highways (State) by adding thereto the following item:
“Kamehameha Hwy-Anemoku St.”
b. By amending Schedule III of Sec. 15-6.3 establishing prohibited right/left turns on red by adding thereto the following item:
“Oneawa-Kihapai: No turns from Oneawa St. into Kihapai St. in the mauka direction.”
c. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:
“Hoowalea St., for its entire length (City-owned portion).”
“Kapanoe Pl., for its entire length.”
“Pahika St., for its entire length.”
d. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Ekemauu St-Oohao St. Traffic on Ekemauu St. shall stop before entering Oohao St.”
“Ekemauu St-Pahika St. Traffic on Ekemauu St. shall stop before entering Pahika St.”
“Hapaiko St-Oohao St. Traffic on Hapaiko St. shall stop before entering Oohao St.”
“Hapaiko St-Pahika St. Traffic on Hapaiko St. shall stop before entering Pahika St.”
“Hoomalule Pl-Hoowalea St. Traffic on Hoomalule Pl. shall stop before entering Hoowalea St.”
“Hoomohalu Pl-Hoowalea St. Traffic on Hoomohalu Pl. shall stop before entering Hoowalea St.”
“Hoowalea Pl-Hoowalea St. Traffic on Hoowalea Pl. shall stop before entering Hoowalea St.”
“Hoowalea St-Keaunui Dr. Traffic on Hoowalea St. shall stop before entering Keaunui Dr.”

“Paeko St-Puhiko St. Traffic on Paeko St. shall stop before entering Puhiko St.”
“Pahika St-Oohao St. Traffic on Pahika St. shall stop before entering Oohao St.”
“Pahika St-Pahika St. Traffic on Pahika St. shall stop before entering Pahika St.”
“Pihi St-Oohao St. Traffic on Pihi St. shall stop before entering Oohao St.”
“Pihi St-Pahika St. Traffic on Pihi St. shall stop before entering Pahika St.”
e. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Coral St., Koko Head side, distance 62’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Auahi St.”
“Hoomalule Pl., Waianae (western) side, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”
“Hoomohalu Pl., Waianae (western) side, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”
“Hoowalea Pl., Waianae (western) side, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”
“Hoowalea St., makai (southern) side, from Keaunui Dr. to a point 50’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Hoowalea Pl.”
“Hoowalea St., makai (southern) side, from a point 55’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Hoomalule Pl. to Kanela St.”
“Hoowalea St., mauka (northern) side, between Hoowela Pl. and Keaunui Dr.”
“Hoowalea Wy., makai (southern) side, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”
“Kapanoe Pl., within its turnaround area.”
“Pahika St., northeastern side, between the south eastern leg of Pahika St. and Renton Rd.”
“Puhiko St., within its eastern and western turnaround areas.”
“Pupukahi Pl., within its turnaround area.”
2. By amending thereto the following items:
Coral St., Ewa side, distance 108’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Ala Moana Blvd.; to read:
“Coral St., Ewa side, distance 218’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Ala Moana Blvd.”
Coral St., Ewa side, distance 30’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Auahi St.; to read:
“Coral St., Ewa side, distance 70’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Auahi St.”
Hoomalu St., Koko Head side, distance 85’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Komo Mai Dr.; to read:
“Hoomalu St. Koko Head side, distance. 120’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Komo Mai Dr.”
Naupaka St., within its turnaround area; to read:
“Naupaka St., within its eastern and western turnaround areas.”
3. By deleting therefrom the following item:
“Seventh Ave., Ewa side, distance 43’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Harding Ave.”
f. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic controls by adding thereto the following items:
“Hoomalule Pl., for its entire length, the speed limit shall be 20 mph.”
“Hoomohalu Pl., for its entire length, the speed limit shall be 20 mph.”
“Hoowalea Pl., for its entire length, the speed limit shall be 20 mph.”
Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
