Traffic Schedule No. 2016-4
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2016-4 TO AMEND SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXVII OF SECTION 15-17.1 ESTABLISHING CROSSWALKS; SCHEDULE XXVIII OF SECTION 15-17.1(d) ESTABLISHING RESTRICTED PEDESTRIANS CROSSING ROADWAYS; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESTABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following item:

“Laukona Lp., for its entire length.”

b. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Laukona Lp., both legs, even-numbered side, distance 60’ southeasterly direction from a point 270’ southeastern of the southeastern curb prolongation of Papipi Rd., Wednesdays and Saturdays until refuse is picked up.”

“Namauu Dr., Koko Head side, distance 81’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Maui St.”

2. By amending thereto the following item:

Sunset Ave., Koko Head side, distance 58’ mauka direction from a point 183’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Kilauea Ave.; to read:

“Sunset Ave., Koko Head side, distance 50’ mauka direction from a point 183’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Kilauea Ave.”

c. By amending Schedule XXVII of Sec. 15-17.1 establishing crosswalks in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following item:

“Young St., 10’ wide, from a point 396’ Koko Head of the makai curb prolongation of Victoria St.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“S. Beretania St., 11’ wide, from a point 576’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Piikoi St.”

“Beretania St., 11’ wide, from a point 446’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Pensacola St.”

“Queen St., 11’ wide, from a point 249’ Ewa of Ewa curbline prolongation
Punchbowl St.”

d. By amending Schedule XXVIII of Sec. 15-17.2(d) establishing restricted pedestrians crossing roadways by adding thereto the following items:

“S. Beretania St., the unmarked mid-block crosswalk across S. Beretania St., between Keeaumoku and Piikoi Sts., fronting Times Supermarket at 1290 S. Beretania St.”

“S. Beretania St., the unmarked mid-block crosswalk across S. Beretania St., between Pensacola and Victoria Sts., fronting Burger King at 1056 S. Beretania St. and McDonald’s at 1055 S. Beretania St.”

“Queen St., the unmarked mid-block crosswalk across Queen St., from a point 249’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Punchbowl St.”

e. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic control in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Laimi Rd. Bridge, between Easy and Henry Sts., shall have a weight limit of 18 tons.”

“Waialae Ave., right turn only from McDonald’s driveway (3254 Waialae Ave.) into Waialae Ave.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Fern St. Bridge, between Punahou St. and Kalakaua Ave., shall have a weight limit of 13 tons.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
