WATER BOARD, COUNTY OF HAWAI’I
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Water Board of the County of Hawai’i will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to the Rules & Regulations of the Department of Water Supply, County of Hawaii on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 9:30 a.m., at the Department of Water Supply, Operations Center Conference Room, 889 Leilani Street, Hilo, HI.

Pursuant to Chapter 91-3, Hawai’i Revised Statutes, the hearing will be to afford all interested persons the opportunity to submit data, views, or arguments, orally or in writing, regarding the following proposal to amend the Rules & Regulations of the Department of Water Supply, County of Hawaii.

In an effort to improve collection of balances owed the Department for water service, as well as to clarify and standardize existing rules, changes to Sections 1-1, 3-1, 3-4, 3-8, 3-10, 3-11, 3-21, 3-22, 3-27 and 4-8 are proposed.

A copy of the proposed amended Rules & Regulations is available for mailing at no cost to any interested person who requests a copy. Contact Janet Snyder at 961-8050 to request a copy. All those desiring to express their views, arguments, or submit data on the above matter may do so by submitting statements in writing to the Chairperson of the Water Board of the County on or before the date of the public hearing; but anyone interested may appear in person to submit their data, views, or arguments orally before the Water Board at the hearing. Submissions made to the Chairperson prior to the date of the hearing shall be mailed or delivered to the Chairperson in care of the Department of Water Supply, 345 Kekuanao’a Street, Hilo, Hawai’i 96720.
