Traffic Schedule No. 2016-2
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2016-2 TO AMEND SCHEDULE II OF SECTION 15-6.2(b) ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC SIGNALS (STATE); SCHEDULE IV OF SECTION 15-7.2(a)(2) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–15 MPH; SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XI OF SECTION 15-8.3(b) ESTABLISHING NO TURNS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXIV OF SECTION 15-15.1(d) ESTABLISHING CURB LOADING ZONES; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS; SCHEDULE XXVII OF SECTION 15-17.1 ESTABLISHING CROSSWALKS; SCHEDULE XXXVII OF SECTION 15-7.2(i) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–10 MPH; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESTABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:
a. By amending Schedule II of Sec. 15-6.2(b) establishing traffic signals (State) by adding thereto the following items:
“Kamehameha Hwy-Lilipuna Rd. Kahuku (northern) leg.”
“Kamehameha Hwy-Lilipuna Rd. Makapuu (southern) leg.”
b. By amending Schedule IV of Sec. 15-7.2(a)(2) establishing speed limit–15 mph by adding thereto the following item:
“Ohai St., from California Ave. to Olive Ave.”
c. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:
“Hainole Pl., for its entire length.”
“Humu St., for its entire length.”
“Maalewa St., for its entire length.”
d. By amending Schedule XI of Sec. 15-8.3(b) establishing no turns by adding thereto the following items:
“Keahole St. No left turn from Keahole St. into the Costco parking lot in the makai direction.”
“Prospect St. No left turn from Stevenson Middle School exit driveway onto Prospect St. in the Koko Head direction.”
e. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Fifth Ave., Koko Head side, distance 185’ makai direction from a point 220’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Waialae Ave., 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., school days only.”
“Fourth St., mauka side, distance 55’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Lehua Ave.”
“Hainole Pl., within its turnaround area.”
“Kuamu St., northwestern side, between Kikaha and Uahanai Sts.”
“Lilipuna Rd., Kahuku (northern) leg, Kahuku side, from Humu St. to Kamehameha Hwy.”
“Lilipuna Rd., Kahuku (northern) leg, Makapuu (southern) side, distance 70’ makai (easternly) direction from the makai curb prolongation of Kamehameha Hwy.”
“Lolena St., makai side, distance 159’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Iholena St.”
“Malua Dr., mauka side, distance 95’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Alewa Dr., fronting 1477 Alewa Dr.”
2. By amending thereto the following items:
Malua Dr., makai side, from the Ewa curb prolongation of Alewa Dr. to the Ewa property line of 1469 Malua Dr.; to read:
“Malua Dr., makai side, distance 95’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Alewa Dr.”
Tenth Ave., Koko Head side, distance 75’ mauka direction from a point 150’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Kaau St.; to read:
“Tenth Ave., Koko Head side, 75’ mauka direction from a point 150’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Kaau St., 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday to Friday including all day Sunday.”
Waimanu St., makai side, for a distance 110’ in the Ewa direction from the Ewa curbline prolongation of Piikoi St.; to read:
“Waimanu St., makai side, distance 143’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Piikoi St.”
3. By deleting therefrom the following items:
“Fifth Ave., Koko Head side, for distance 165’ mauka direction from a point 215’ mauka of mauka curbline prolongation of Harding Ave., during hrs. 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., school days only.”
“Lolena St., mauka side, distance 140’ Ewa direction from Ewa curb prolongation Iholena St.”
f. By amending Schedule XXIV of Sec. 15-15.1(d) establishing curb loading zones
subsection (a) passenger loading zone by amending thereto the following item:
Hoolana St., Wahiawa side, distance 135’ makai direction from mauka property line 1530 Hoolana St., 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. school days; to read:
“Hoolana St., western side, distance 135’ mauka direction from a point 325’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Hoomaemae St., 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 3:30 p.m., school days only.”
g. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops by adding thereto the following item:
“Alewa Dr., makai (even-numbered) side, distance 140’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Hoomaikai St.”
h. By amending Schedule XXVII of Sec. 15-17.1 establishing crosswalks by adding thereto the following item:
“Fifth Ave., 10’ wide, from a point 251’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Waialae Ave.”
i. By amending Schedule XXXVII of Sec. 15-7.2(i) establishing speed limit–10 mph by deleting therefrom the following item:
“Ohai St., from California Ave. to Olive Ave.”
j. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic controls by adding thereto the following items:
“Fern St. Bridge, between Punahou St. and Kalakaua Ave., shall have a weight limit of 13 tons.”
“Hiikala Pl. Bridge, between Oili Lp. and Hiikala Pl. turnaround, shall have a weight limit of 20 tons.”
“Kalua Rd. Bridge, between Mahana St. and 9th Ave., shall have a weight limit of 12 tons.”
“Keahole St., exiting mauka bound traffic from the Costco parking lot must turn right into Keahole St.”
“Lilipuna Rd., Kahuku (northern) leg, mauka (west) bound traffic in the Makapuu (southern) most lane must turn left at Kamehameha Hwy.”
“Paalea St. Bridge, between Mahana St. and 9th Ave., shall have a weight limit of 20 tons.”
Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
