Insurance Examination Manager

The primary purpose of this position is to manage a statewide regulatory program for the State of Hawaii, Insurance Division, which is concerned with the financial surveillance and examination of insurers, risk retention groups and rating organizations. Responsibilities include ascertaining the soundness of their operations and ensuring compliance with pertinent statutory provisions to protect the interests of the policyholders, creditors and the public.

Extensive experience in accounting, auditing or examination of business operations is required. Basic knowledge of insurance company operations; insurance laws, rules and regulations; proceedings and public records; report writing; research methods and techniques; and legislative processes is preferred.
