NOTICE OF PROPOSED ADOPTION OF RULES OF PRACTICE AND PROCEDURES FOR THE HAWAII COUNTY CULTURAL RESOURCES COMMISSION
The Hawaii County Cultural Resources Commission, which is an advisory body to the Planning Director, will be considering the adoption of Rules of Practice and Procedure at their upcoming Cultural Resources Commission meeting. The meeting is open to the public and will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at 2:00pm at the Puna Conference Room of the Hawaii County Building (25 Aupuni Street, Suite 1501, Hilo, Hawaii 96720), and the Planning Department Conference Room of the West Hawaii Civic Center

2nd floor, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740). The proposed Rules of Practice and Procedure for the Hawaii County Cultural Resources Commission are established pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 2, Article 44 of the Hawaii County Code and Chapter 91-1 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. The rules govern practice before and procedures of the Hawaii County Cultural Resources Commission and set forth general rules applicable to proceedings before the Commission. The rules include provisions for review of nominations to and actions upon sites on the Hawaii and National Register of Historic Places, and review of actions or projects involving sites that may be of historical or cultural importance to the County of Hawaii.
The Hawaii County Cultural Resources Commission also administers the Certified Local Government program of federal assistance for historic preservation within the county.
