NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following matters to be considered by the Leeward Planning Commission of the County of Hawaii in accordance with the provisions of Chapters 91 and 92, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 6-7.5(a) of the Charter of the County of Hawaii, and the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure.

1. APPLICANT: BRETT W. RITCHIE (REZ 15-192)
Application for a Change of Zone from an Agricultural-20 acres (A-20a) to a Family Agricultural-1 acre (FA-1a) zoning district for approximately 5.94 acres of land. The property is located on the east (mauka) side of the Old Mamalahoa Highway across the street and northeast of the Matsuyama Food Mart complex at Kalaoa 5th, North Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 7-3-004:012.
2. APPLICANT: KAMEHAMEHA SCHOOLS-LAND ASSETS DIVISION-WEST HAWAII (SMA 15-060)
Application for a Special Management Area (SMA) Use Permit to allow for the demolition of the former Keauhou Beach Resort complex and the remnants of the former Kona Lagoon Hotel facility to allow for the construction and establishment of an educational complex (Kahuluu Ma Kai) and related programs, activities and improvements on approximately 22.73 acres of land situated within the SMA. The properties are situated on the west (makai) side of Alii Drive, immediately adjacent to and south of Kahuluu Beach Park at Kahuluu, North Kona, Hawaii, TMKs: 7-8-013: 002, 013, 042 & 043.
