Notice is hereby given that the Council of the County of Kaua’i will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 1:30 p.m., or soon thereafter, at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Room 201, Historic County Building, Lihu’e, on the following:

Bill No. 2593
A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. B-2015-796, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE OPERATING BUDGET OF THE COUNTY OF KAUA’I, STATE OF HAWAI’I, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2015 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2016, BY REVISING THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED IN THE GENERAL FUND, HIGHWAY FUND, LIQUOR FUND, SOLID WASTE FUND, SEWER FUND, AND GOLF FUND (Units 2, 3, and 4 Collective Bargaining Increases – $912,369)

This Bill proposes to amend Ordinance No. B-2015-796, as amended, relating to the Operating Budget of the County of Kaua’i, State of Hawai’i, for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016, by revising the amounts estimated in the General Fund, Highway Fund, Liquor Fund, Solid Waste Fund, Sewer Fund, and Golf Fund in the amount of $912,369. This appropriation is needed to fund collective bargaining increases and related employee payroll taxes and benefits for Bargaining Units 2, 3, and 4.

A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. B-2015-796, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE OPERATING BUDGET OF THE COUNTY OF KAUA’I, STATE OF HAWAI’I, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2015 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2016, BY REVISING SECTION 19 OF THE OPERATING BUDGET PROVISOS

This Bill proposes to amend Ordinance No. B-2015-796, as amended, relating to the Operating Budget of the County of Kaua’i, State of Hawai’i, for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016, by amending Section 19 of the Operating Budget provisos relating to vacant positions, new hires, transfers, reallocations, promotions, elimination of positions, and dollar-funded positions to allow the release of information to the Council while ensuring that privacy rights of applicants and employees of the County of Kaua’i are maintained.

A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. B-2015-796, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE OPERATING BUDGET OF THE COUNTY OF KAUA’I, STATE OF HAWAI’I, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2015 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2016, BY REVISING THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED IN THE GENERAL FUND (Kaua’i Police Department, Legal Analyst – $124,165)

This Bill proposes to amend Ordinance No. B-2015-796, as amended, relating to the Operating Budget of the County of Kaua’i, State of Hawai’i, for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016, by revising the the General Fund, Equity / Fund Balance – Unassigned, in the amount of $124,165 to establish a new Legal Analyst position in the Kaua’i Police Department. This appropriation amount is inclusive of salaries and related benefits.

Copies of the proposed Bills are available at the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division.
