Existing Use: A high-rise resort condo, five low-rise apartment buildings, a museum and gift shop, a telephone switching station, and a house converted into apartments. The existing uses being added by the DPP’s proposal are two high-rise resident condos, a low-rise apartment building, and two City mini- parks with bus shelters

Land Area Being Rezoned: Original Proposal: 1.25 acres
Proposed additions by DPP: 1.38 acres
Total Land Area: 2.63 acres
Request: The Applicants requested a change in zoning from Apartment Precinct to Apartment Mixed Use Subprecinct. In conjunction with the Applicants’ proposal, the Department of Planning and Permitting is also requesting a change in zoning to the Apartment Mixed Use Subprecinct for adjacent properties.

The proposed zone change request is available for viewing at the Department of Planning and Permitting or online at www.honoluludpp.org/Planning/ZoneChanges.aspx. Public testimony is to be taken at the hearing. Fifteen (15) copies of written testimony should be filed with the Planning Commission at least forty-eight (48) hours before the date of the public hearing. Attendance at the public hearing is not necessary to submit written testimony. One copy may be faxed (768-6743) or mailed (Planning Commission, 650 South King Street, 7th Floor, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813). All interested persons are invited to attend. Those persons desiring to testify may register prior to the public hearing at the public hearing site.
