Notice is hereby given that the Council of the County of Kaua’i will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at 1:30 p.m., or soon thereafter, at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Room 201, Historic County Building, Lihu’e, on the following:

A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. B-2014-782, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE CAPITAL BUDGET OF THE COUNTY OF KAUA’I, STATE OF HAWAI’I, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2014 THROUGH
JUNE 30, 2015, BY REVISING THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED IN THE DEVELOPMENT FUND

This Bill proposes to establish the “Koloa/Po’ipu Intersection Improvements” project in the Development Fund – CIP, and appropriate $80,750.00 for traffic improvements for intersections within the Koloa-Po’ipu area only. The total project amount is based on the approved construction of three hundred twenty-three (323) condominium units (from the Developer of Project Development Use Permit
PDU-2004-30, under Condition #16), at an amount of $250.00 per unit. Although the Bill seeks approval for the total project amount, budgetary appropriations will coincide in amount and timing of developer installments received, so as not to allow expenditures to exceed receipt of fees. This project will be administered through the Planning Department.

All interested persons who wish to present their comments may do so at the public hearing. Written testimonies prior to the hearing would be appreciated. Copies of the proposed ordinance are available at the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division.

(The Council Committee or Council may amend this Bill at its subsequent meetings. Meeting notices are posted at least 6 days in advance at the County Clerk’s Office and the public may also testify at any of these meetings.)
