Staff Attorney
Exempt position located on Oahu
The Securities Enforcement Branch of the Office of the Securities Commissioner is seeking to fill a vacancy for an exempt Staff Attorney position to assist in the enforcement of state securities and franchise laws.
Qualified applicants must possess a juris doctor degree from an accredited college or university and also be licensed to practice law in the State of Hawaii.
Qualified applicants should have at least two (2) years of experience practicing law with a litigation background. Individuals should also possess some or all of the following: analytical, negotiation, research and writing skills, knowledge of accounting and financial principals, motivation to learn, positive and energetic attitude, and a good work ethic.
Applicants must be able to draft pleadings and handle evidentiary hearings in administrative proceedings and civil appeals.
