ANALYST
Juvenile Justice Information System
Duties: Develop/maintain web-based multi-agency information system. Prepare data models, business process models, data flow diagrams, correspondence/reports of work activities, procedural manuals and operating standards, test plans and develop test cases for system testing, regression testing, and integration testing. Develop functional/design specifications and project plans. Monitor the progress of the project against the plan.
Qualification Requirements: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of information systems development methodology and competence in object oriented design principles. At least two years of recent, demonstrated experience with Java or C++ based application development of complex, mission-critical information systems. Strong organizational, inter-personal, and communications skills. Strong analytical and problem determination skills. Familiarity with quality assurance techniques. Demonstrated experience in project planning, project task execution, and project reporting. Additional desirable skills include familiarity with the justice system, service oriented architecture, UML 2.0, JMS, J2EE Core Patterns (Enterprise Integration Patterns), J2EE Core Security Patterns (J2EE security architecture), J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, Web Services), AJAX, XML, XSL, IBM Rational Software Architect or Rational Application Developer and IBM Websphere products.
Exempt (non-civil service), full-time position.
