NOTICE TO BIDDERS

SEALED BIDS for WAIHEE WELL ELECTRICAL UPGRADE/ REPLACEMENT, DWS JOB NO. 07-25, WAIEHU, MAUI, STATE OF HAWAII, will be received by the Director of the Department of Water Supply, Kalana O Maui Building, 5th Floor, 200 South High Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793, until 2:00 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2007, at which time and place sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project involves furnishing all labor, tools, materials and equipment as specified in the bid documents necessary to upgrade the Waihee Wells facility at Waiehu, Maui, Hawaii.

Bid documents may be purchased from the Engineering Division of said department at a cost of FIFTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($50.00) PER SET. There will be no refund for these bid documents once they are purchased. Payment shall be in the form of cash, check or money order payable to “Department of Water Supply”.

A pre-bid conference and project tour has been scheduled at 9:00 A.M. ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2007. Bidders shall meet at the Department of Water Supply NASKA Baseyard located on 614 Palapala Drive, Kahului, Maui, Hawaii, at the date and time specified above.

To be eligible to bid, bidders must posses a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering Contractor\u2019s “A” license.

Bids must be accompanied by an acceptable form of bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid, including additives, payable to the \u201DDepartment of Water Supply\u201D and in compliance with Section 103D-323, Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended.

Bidder must submit a tax clearance from the Hawaii State Department of Taxation and Internal Revenue Service, using Form A-6, with the sealed bid.
