PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Department of Transportation, State of Hawaii will hold public hearings on:
(1) October 16, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at the Harbors
Division Conference Room, 3rdfloor, 79 S Nimitz
Highway, Honolulu Oahu;
(2) October 17, 2007, 10:00 am at Nawiliwili Harbor
Conference Room, 3242 Waapa Road, Lihue,
Kauai;
(3) October 18, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Kahului
Harbor Conference Room, 103 Ala Luina Street,
Kahului, Maui:
(4) October 19, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Hilo Harbor
Conference Room, 80 Kuhio Street, Hilo, Hawaii:
The Department proposes to amend the Hawaii Administrative Rules, Title 19, Commercial Harbor and Tariff, Chapter 42, 19-42-82: Vessel Traffic in Honolulu Harbor; and 19-42-83: Movement of Vessels at State Ports regarding the safe use of commercial harbors by large vessels entering State harbors.

The purpose of these hearings will be to solicit public comments on the proposed amendments. All interested parties are invited to attend and express their views orally or in writing. Written comments should be provided to the Department at or before the hearing. Further information may be obtained by calling any of the District offices during business hours.
